Walter picked up many wins in the early 1960’s.

He was a member of the Moncton Speed and Custom Club. As a member of the club, he helped prepare the Scoudouc Airstrip for drag racing in 1963.

Headlines in 1964 read “Walter Brooks Breaks Scoudouc Speed Record.” He did this in his famous 440 horse-powered Henry J.

Walter could also win in his 404 powered ’56 Ford and his 283 cu. in. 1964 Chevelle.
