HIGHLIGHTS
For Ken, a car guy, a car is not just a mode of transportation; it is something to enjoy, care for and yes to drive. Ken loves to go to car shows in Florida or Moncton or a drag race in Greenfield or Miramichi or a stock car race anywhere along the eastern seaboard of North America.
Ken’s love of cars and racing goes back to his teenage years. In 1978 he started out helping on stock cars.
Ken and his son Scott enjoyed Go-Kart racing, even to Nationals in Burlington, ON but most at Scotia Speedworld. Ken admits he learned a lot about working with metal.
Ken retired with 30 years of service from Bell Aliant in 2004; he was then hired as General Manager for Scotia Speedworld & the Maritime Pro Stock Tour. Ken is also the Race Director for the Friday night racing at Scotia Speedworld.
Ken is a man of integrity and works diligently to make things better for racers, sponsors, and fans.
Starting Victoria Day weekend, he spends every Friday night at Scotia Speedworld, then travels every Saturday wherever the Maritime Pro Stock Tour is racing. In the off-season, he has meetings with drivers and scheduling events with the tracks in New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.
Ken is Vice President of the Maritime Motorsports Hall Of Fame for Nova Scotia.
