Boo King Racing – home of the “Nuclear Banana.”
Boo King is one of those individuals who eat, sleep and breathes drag racing.
There isn’t a too fast in his vocabulary.
Bought his first car at age 16. A 2 door, 1957 Chev., installed a 396 cu. in. engine and 4-speed transmission. Went drag racing at the old Blissfield Airstrip. Won his Class with a time of 12.9 sec. He was hooked.
In early ’80’s thought bikes would be faster. Bought a Suzuki. On bikes he was a winner, claiming three or four Championships. He raced tracks from Ontario to Maryland, USA.
He wanted a car with a chrome Molley frame so bought Steve Carrier’s ’68 Camaro. Had it ready for 2003.
His thoughts were that the bright yellow Camaro looked like a very fast banana thus the name “The Nuclear Banana”. It is Canada’s fastest street driven car.
Boo plans to race until he can’t shift anymore.
