1966 – Most Sportsmanlike Driver, Covehead Raceway
1967 – First Place – Flathead Points Series, Covehead Raceway
1967 – First Place – Flathead Points Series, Montague Raceway
1967 – Driver of the Year (runner up), Covehead Raceway
Built/restored, from the ground up, a 1923 Ford Model T Bucket and a 1931 Ford Model A
In 1977 Duckie built the first turntable used for a show car in the Maritimes
Won many show trophies between 1977 and 1982, including one in Newfoundland where he, his turntable, and his T Bucket were a hit
He and some friends are responsible for night racing at Raceway Park with their installation of lights at the facility
Of special interest:
Began racing in the summer of 1962 at the age of 14
Duckie was one of the two most influential people in creating the Prince Edward Island Street Rod Association
He was involved with the ‘Hell Drivers’ when they visited Prince Edward Island
Duckie Woolridge remains involved in stock car racing as a valued crew member with pro stock racer Darren MacKinnon
