HIGHLIGHTS

Developed his love for drag racing in the early 1960’s. He bought a 1968 Chev Camaro, drove it on the street for 2 weeks then it was off to the Drags. His car was known as the “Invader”. Dave built his own engines and was meticulous.

He raced it PEI, NS, NB, Sanair, Cayuga, Englishtown NJ, And Gainesville Florida. He broke track records several times in 1969, ’70 at Halifax Dartmouth International Speedway and in 1970, ’71, ’72 he held the season points there.

Dave was a strong booster of the PEI Dragway at Oyster Bed. He Drag raced until 1973.

After that, he raced a sailboat and eventually was involved in stock car racing, building engines, and tech inspection.

Daves personal motto: “Help out others in any way he could, to keep racers racing”.
