We are saddened by the passing of Jim Hallahan on December 3, 2020. Jim was a member of the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Originally from Ontario, Jim started his racing career in 1949.
He moved to Nova Scotia in 1970 and from then on was a huge influence in Maritime stock car racing as a top driver, co-founder and longtime President of MASCAR, Assistant G.M. with the Maritime Pro Stock Tour and Scotia Speedworld, and mentor to many of the drivers to have raced in the Maritimes over the past five decades. He was also a member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of fame, having received that honour in 2003.
Our most sincere condolences to his wife Liz and the rest of the Hallahan family.
