HIGHLIGHTS

Don started his drag racing about 1961, First with his 1961 BelAir Chevy refitted family car then with prepared race cars.

To name a few of his race cars:
– 34 Chev Sedan – Street Rod
– 55 Chev BelAir
– 49 Anglia with a 327 engine
– 29 Ford Roadster, named “Twister”, with full house 350 cu. In. engine – 77 Vega

His home track was Pennfield Dragway, where he won many Eliminators and Championships. He ran, very competitively, at PEI, Sackville NS, Naiperville Ont, Winterport and Oxford Maine, Epping New Hampshire and many others.

The Roadster and Vega competed in Speed Sport Auto Shows in Nfld, NS, NB, Montreal and other shows, both cars won Best Competition Car in the Northeast Division for the year.

He is owner, operator of Dons Performance Center. Don has built many motors for most motorsport type vehicles.
