Allyn Armstrong has been building competition race cars since the mid-sixties. His first was a 1956 Chev with a 327 four speed. His most well-known cars were his Opels. The first in ’83 that ran as a C/EA and B/EA. In ’86 he built his second Opel which he raced very successfully until 2007.
John Armstrong has enjoyed drag racing since 1971. John was the official first to run his ’69 Camaro SS/BA in the 8 seconds category – 8.944. He has set the record in many classes and won numerous classes.He was voted “Wrench of the Year 2003” by the Sportsmen in the North Eastern Division. His current car is a SS/BA Corvette that he still races.
They operate their family business building high-performance engines. Their success in drag racing is a testimony to hard work and commitment.
A common comment at tracks is “How do they do THAT?”
