CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

The name "Jim Hallahan" is legendary in Canadian stock car racing. Jim's racing life started in 1949, racing his first jalopy at the age of 20. 1958, '59 he was Modified stock car point champion at Pinecrest. 1965 Late Model point champion at Pinecrest.

In 1966 Jim made his first trip to New Brunswick to race in the River Glade Speedway International, which he won, and again in 1968. In 1969 he moved to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, to drive a stock car for Forbes Chev.-Olds as well as sell cars for them.

1983 helped create the MASCAR Tour, he also served as President.

He was Assistant Manager of Scotia Speedworld and Coordinator of the CARQUEST Maritime Pro Stock Tour.

Jim was inducted into the Canadian Motorsoprts Hall Of Fame in 2003 as Builder/Competitor/ Stock Car Racing, the same year that Guy Lombardo was inducted as Competitor/Boat racer.

As of 2011 Jim and his wife Elizabeth (Liz) still work with the Maritime Pro Stock Tour.
