HIGHLIGHTS

Blair began his Stockcar career in 1971 until 1973, by building the car and racing it, in 1974 he started building cars and selling them, and in '75 he incorporated his business "Crooks Racing". Over the next 2 decades Crooks Racing became a household name in motor sports. Their son Gary worked at the shop until going to Charlotte, North Carolina to open his own race shop to build Late Model cars for NASCAR drivers. Gayle was very active in the racing scene; in the early '70's at Atlantic Speedway she became track photographer and soon was doing the program. She worked behind the scenes with Blair helping to grow their business. In 1981 she became the promoter of Onslow Speedway, N.S, for Russell White for the next 3 or 4 years, very successfully. From 1990 thru '94 she managed Scotia Speedworld for Harry Poole and Cecil Vance. There were so many classes that they ran two days a week, Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Racing and Race Cars have been in their blood for many years and has continued even after both have retired.
